Caliphate and Garden of Fadak?

I am a Muslim and a follower of Syed Abid Hussain Shah Bukhari (Nanga Pak) from Mansehra, Burj Muradabad Darbar Sharif Syed Murad Ali Shah Bukhari. When Allah breathed the soul into Hazrat Adam (A.S.), the angels prostrated before him by Allah's command. There is an incident where the people of Taif stoned the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.), and an angel sought permission from Allah to destroy them by collapsing mountains upon them. However, the Prophet (S.A.W.) forbade it. In another instance, the Prophet (S.A.W.) declared, "For whoever I am the Mawla (master), Ali is his Mawla," signifying the transition from prophethood to Imamate. After the Prophet (S.A.W.), the angels, by Allah's command, maintained a connection with Hazrat Ali (A.S.). The soul that Allah breathed into Hazrat Adam (A.S.)—does it continue to reside in different bodies in this world until the Day of Judgment, or has it returned to Paradise?

Regarding the garden of Fadak, the Jews handed it over to the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) without any battle, making it his personal property rather than war spoils. This is supported by Surah Al-Hashr (59:6-7):

**Verse 6:**
"And whatever Allah restored to His Messenger from them (the people of the towns), you did not spur any horse or camel for it, but Allah gives authority to His Messengers over whom He wills. And Allah is All-Powerful."

**Verse 7:**
"What Allah restored to His Messenger from the people of the towns is for Allah, His Messenger, the relatives, the orphans, the poor, and the wayfarer, so that it may not circulate solely among the wealthy among you. Whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you from, refrain from it. Fear Allah, for Allah is severe in punishment."

When Bibi Fatima Zahra (R.A.) approached the first Caliph, Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (R.A.), to claim the garden of Fadak, he cited a hadith where the Prophet (S.A.W.) said, "We, the Prophets, do not leave any inheritance. We do not have heirs, nor do we belong to anyone." This hadith is recorded in Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, and other authentic books. It is narrated by Ummul Momineen Hazrat Aisha Siddiqa (R.A.), Abdullah bin Zubair, and Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri.

However, this hadith seems to contradict the Quranic verses of Surah Al-Hashr (59:6-7). Additionally, according to Sahih Bukhari, Tirmidhi, and Hakim, Ummul Momineen Hazrat Aisha (R.A.) lived in the house of the Prophet (S.A.W.). If the hadith about Prophets not leaving inheritance is applied, then Hazrat Aisha (R.A.) should not have been allowed to reside in the Prophet's house after his passing, as there would be no inheritance. Yet, she continued to live there. Furthermore, on what basis did Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A.) claim the right to be buried in the Prophet's house? Similarly, Bibi Umm Ayman (R.A.) was inherited by the Prophet (S.A.W.) from his father.

I am a Sunni, and I have some questions and reflections based on Islamic history and theology?

by Saqib Javed On Global Peace and Prosperity © 2025 by "Saqib Javed, Author of Articles on Global peace and Prosperity" is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0

1. **The Creation of Hazrat Adam (علیہ السلام)**:
Allah blew His spirit into Hazrat Adam (علیہ السلام), and the angels prostrated to him by Allah's command. This act signifies the honor and status of humanity in creation.

2. **The Incident of Ta'if**:
When the people of Ta'if stoned Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), an angel came to him by Allah's command, offering to destroy them by crushing them with mountains. However, the Prophet (peace be upon him) refused, showing his immense mercy and patience, hoping for their future guidance.

3. **The Statement "Man Kuntu Mawlahu, Fa Ali Mawlahu"**:
At Ghadir Khumm, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, *"For whoever I am his Mawla, Ali is his Mawla."* This statement is interpreted differently by Sunnis and Shias. Sunnis view it as an expression of love and closeness, while Shias see it as a clear appointment of Hazrat Ali (علیہ السلام) as the successor (Imam) after the Prophet (peace be upon him).

4. **The Spirit Blown into Hazrat Adam (علیہ السلام)**:
The divine spirit (Ruh) that Allah blew into Hazrat Adam (علیہ السلام) is a unique gift. After death, this spirit returns to Allah and does not transfer to other bodies. However, some Shia traditions suggest that the divine light or spirit of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the Imams (علیہم السلام) continues to guide humanity.

5. **Fadak and Surah Al-Hashr (59:6-7)**:
Fadak was a garden given to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by the Jews without war, making it his personal property rather than war booty. The Quranic verses in Surah Al-Hashr (59:6-7) state:
   - *"And whatever Allah restored to His Messenger from them (the people of the towns), you did not spur for it any horses or camels, but Allah gives His messengers authority over whom He wills. And Allah is over all things competent."*
   - *"The spoils of war which Allah gave to His Messenger from the people of the towns are for Allah, His Messenger, the near relatives, the orphans, the needy, and the traveler, so that it will not circulate only among the rich among you. And whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you, refrain from it. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty."*

These verses emphasize that wealth acquired without war belongs to Allah, His Messenger, and for the benefit of relatives, orphans, the poor, and travelers.

6. **Hazrat Fatima's (رضی اللہ عنہا) Claim to Fadak**:
After the passing of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Hazrat Fatima (رضی اللہ عنہا) claimed Fadak as her inheritance. However, Hazrat Abu Bakr (رضی اللہ عنہ) denied her claim, citing a Hadith where the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, *"We (Prophets) do not leave inheritance; whatever we leave is charity."* This Hadith is recorded in Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, and other authentic books, narrated by Hazrat Aisha (رضی اللہ عنہا), Abdullah ibn Zubair, and Ibn Shihab al-Zuhri.

   - **Contradiction with Quran**: This Hadith seems to contradict the Quranic verses in Surah Al-Hashr (59:6-7), which state that the wealth acquired without war is for the Prophet (peace be upon him), his relatives, and others.
   - **Hazrat Aisha's (رضی اللہ عنہا) Residence**: According to Sahih Bukhari, Tirmidhi, and other books, Hazrat Aisha (رضی اللہ عنہا) continued to live in the Prophet's (peace be upon him) house after his passing. If the Hadith about no inheritance were applied strictly, she should have vacated the house, as it would no longer be her inheritance.
   - **Burial of Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat Umar (رضی اللہ عنہما)**: Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat Umar (رضی اللہ عنہما) were buried in the same room as the Prophet (peace be upon him). This raises the question of how they could be buried there if the house was no longer considered inherited property.
   - **Bibi Umm Ayman (رضی اللہ عنہا)**: She was inherited by the Prophet (peace be upon him) from his father, which also raises questions about the application of the Hadith on inheritance.

---

### **Key Points of Reflection**:
1. **Inheritance of Prophets**:
The Hadith stating that Prophets do not leave inheritance seems to conflict with the Quranic verses on inheritance and the historical context of Fadak and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) house.

2. **Fadak and Surah Al-Hashr**:
The Quranic verses in Surah Al-Hashr (59:6-7) clearly state that wealth acquired without war is for the Prophet (peace be upon him), his relatives, and others. This raises questions about the denial of Hazrat Fatima's (رضی اللہ عنہا) claim to Fadak.

3. **Hazrat Aisha's (رضی اللہ عنہا) Residence**:
If the Hadith about no inheritance were applied strictly, Hazrat Aisha (رضی اللہ عنہا) should not have continued to live in the Prophet's (peace be upon him) house after his passing.

4. **Burial of Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat Umar (رضی اللہ عنہما)**:
Their burial in the Prophet's (peace be upon him) house raises questions about the application of the Hadith on inheritance.

5. **Bibi Umm Ayman (رضی اللہ عنہا)**:
Her inheritance by the Prophet (peace be upon him) from his father further complicates the application of the Hadith on inheritance.

I am trying to eliminate misunderstandings among people before hatred reaches every home and every individual. Share can you help?

Author: Saqib Javed 🇵🇰

It possible that the soul (Ruh) that Allah breathed into Prophet Adam (A.S.) was the same soul that passed step by step—from Prophet Musa (A.S.) to Prophet Dawood (A.S.), then to Prophet Isa (A.S.), and finally to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)? And when Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "Whoever's master I am, Ali is his master," it signified the transition from prophethood to Imamate? Could it be that the same soul still exists in someone in this world, and when Imam Mahdi (A.S.) appears, it will be transferred to him?
I Belief in the Four Divine Books As a Muslim,

I believe in all four divine books:

The Torah,

Which was revealed to Prophet Musa (Moses, peace be upon him). Its followers are called Jews.

The Psalms (Zabur),

Revealed to Prophet Dawood (David, peace be upon him), whose followers are also considered part of the Jewish faith today. Jews include both the Torah and the Psalms in their religious teachings.

The Gospel (Injeel),

Followed by Christians.

The Quran,

Followed by Muslims. All these religions believe in the Oneness of God and practice burial for the deceased. Moreover, these books forbid the consumption of pork. Across various religions and sects, many principles align with the teachings of the Quran, especially those mentioned in Surah Al-Ma’un (Makki Surah), which states in its last paragraph: "So woe to those who pray [but] are heedless of their prayer—those who make a show [of their deeds] and withhold simple assistance." This emphasizes that humanity comes first, while religion and sects come later. If a needy, hungry, or thirsty person approaches any place of worship, they should be helped and fed out of humanity, not judged by their religion. Similarly, if someone falls on the road, assistance should be provided without questioning their faith. Good and bad people exist in every religion and sect. Good people may help others, such as removing stones from the road. Bad people might hurt others, deceive, or break hearts. However, those who oppress and kill innocent people are beastly and cannot truly believe in God. If they did, they would fear Him and refrain from such acts. Humanity and Morality Over Religion I am also astonished by those who overlook the rights of all religions and parents while permitting pornography. They often associate themselves with a religion or sect, yet every religion and sect promotes morality. Those who allow pornography or mastermind the oppression and killing of innocents are followers of devil. Their organizations exploit religions for personal gain and incite conflicts among people. Unity in Diversity and the Culture of Pakistan When discussing the idea of one universal law and culture, Pakistan serves as an example. People of almost all religions and sects live here, and their attire often bears similarities. Marriages are largely successful, with parents and children enjoying strong bonds. The number of old-age homes is minimal. My wife, for example, wears a shawl when going to the market. Sometimes she wears a veil, and sometimes she doesn’t. When she does wear a veil, it makes me happy, but when she doesn’t, she feels satisfied, and I stay silent. And I will say that just as weapons have evolved over time—from swords and spears to modern arms—music has also undergone changes. At the time of the conquest of Makkah, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was welcomed with the beating of the duff. Similarly, as time progresses, different forms of music continue to emerge and evolve. And Condemnation of Extremism In Pakistan, there is a political party called Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan that advocates the death penalty for blasphemy against the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). I strongly condemn their stance. When the people of Ta'if stoned the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), his shoes filled with blood, yet he refrained from cursing them. Even when Allah sent an angel seeking permission to destroy the people by crushing them between mountains, the Prophet (peace be upon him) declined. If someone were to disrespect the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) or desecrate the Quran in front of me, I would remind them that Allah might forgive them for an act as small as giving water to a thirsty soul, or He could punish them severely. May Allah protect me from arrogance, grant me the joy of Paradise, and keep me in fear of Hell until my last breath. The Importance of Prayer and Worship The Quran repeatedly mentions establishing prayer. Prayer is a continuous practice that spans 24 hours. It prevents immorality and indecency. Earning lawful sustenance is also a form of worship. Allah may accept even a single sajda-e-shukr (prostration of gratitude) while rejecting a lifetime of worship. On the Day of Judgment, Allah will weigh deeds—good in one scale and bad in the other.

Diseases, diagnosis, and treatment of humans and animals, and my concerns about them?

Author: Saqib Javed 🇵🇰

The Rapid Increase in Human Diseases Compared to Animals Human diseases are increasing rapidly compared to animals, and with this, the types of diagnoses and treatments are also expanding at the same pace. Most treatment facilities have now become industries. In earlier times, practitioners relied on experience, observing the color of stool and urine, examining skin and eye color, and asking about a patient’s condition to diagnose and treat diseases.

Today, if a diagnostic machine malfunctions, the test reports become unreliable. Doctors should be trained in both traditional and modern methods of diagnosis. While treatments are becoming increasingly advanced, the root causes of diseases are not being addressed. For example, doctors consider refined white sugar harmful to human health, which it indeed is. It should be banned globally, and the use of unrefined, chemical-free jaggery should be promoted by international organizations. Additionally, wheat is processed in large factories, separating all its essential components like bran, fine flour, semolina, etc., and the high-speed grinding process reduces its nutritional value. This leads to digestive issues such as constipation, which is the root cause of many other diseases. The lack of nutrients in the diet also results in improper sleep, increasing irritability and aggression in individuals. Consuming bread made from whole wheat provides nutrition, ensures better sleep, and helps maintain overall health. In Pakistan, the ratio of surgical deliveries has reached an alarming level, whereas childbirth is a natural process, and such high rates are not observed in many other countries. Similarly, why is there an increasing need for lens implants in human eyes? The disparity in lens prices, where some are cheaper and others are expensive, raises ethical concerns. This is not a car’s headlight that can be adjusted based on budget. A poor person with an eye issue may feel helpless if they cannot afford a high-quality lens. The same issue applies to other treatments, where medicines with the same salts vary in price. This is unfair to humanity. What are the fundamental reasons behind the rising cases of heart failure, kidney failure, liver diseases, diabetes, etc., in humans, while birds and animals do not face such issues? We need to reflect on this and focus on eliminating diseases from their roots. Not long ago, around 50 to 60 years ago, before the invention of white sugar and the large-scale industrial processing of wheat, illnesses were rare. In those times, if someone in the village fell ill, people were astonished and would say, “How could this person become sick?” It is imperative to address these issues and take steps to eradicate diseases from their roots for a healthier future. I propose a single law for the world. who stands with me?

Author: Saqib Javed 🇵🇰

I am a Muslim, and I believe that no attack should take place if there is a risk of injuring or martyring an innocent person. However, if an attack is necessary in a situation where a human life is in danger, and the chances of saving that life through the attack are higher despite the risk of injury, and if there is no other option available, then such an attack may be carried out. Every good person, regardless of their religion or sect, would hold the same belief.

I believe that for achieving peace and prosperity in the world, there should be a universal law that all religions and sects agree upon. If I talk about Pakistan, most legal institutions, like health and education, have turned into industries. Instead of improving, things are getting worse.

For example, when teachers used to punish me with sticks or scold me in front of the whole class for making a mistake, other students would also become alert and learn a lesson without directly facing punishment. At the same time, I would receive my punishment, and my parents would also be informed. Then, I would get scolded at home as well because no one can be a greater well-wisher than parents.

If all countries' currencies were accepted within their respective nations, and international trade relied on items that could be verified for authenticity—such as gold (to check its karat), fruits, or products (to determine whether they are grade, or another quality level)

However, in the case of minor crimes, instead of publicly punishing the offender with sticks to resolve the issue and teach a lesson, people are thrown into jail. This not only drains the family’s savings due to legal proceedings but also worsens the person instead of reforming them. What kind of system is this? While this may be challenging, it is not impossible. Misunderstandings are increasing globally; even birds are now afraid of humans and fly away from them. Inflation is gradually rising everywhere, and one of the key reasons for this is fixed-profit loans, which concentrate wealth in the hands of a few. When advocating for a universal law, I also address the issue of pornography, which has been permitted by ignoring the rights of parents and the values upheld by religions and sects. Those who allowed this cannot possibly belong to any faith or sect. The answer is simple—they are associated with an ideology that does not believe in God. If they truly believed in God, would they support such a business? The masterminds behind the legalization of pornography either do not have children of their own or lack the emotional connection to understand the impact of their actions. I am confident that I can play a significant role in creating a universal law and resolving misunderstandings between religions and sects. I come from the Sufi tradition of Islam, but it is not necessary for me to agree with everything that Islamic scholars say. Author: Saqib Javed 🇵🇰
